Candy? I mentioned it before, but could I get that quest from you now?

I can always do it after resting, but I thought I should at least get the quest first. It's just been a bit busy lately.

[ Opening up the arm of the comfy couch and out comes a small goldfish bowl filled with water and... an egg in it? ]

Look after it, and when it hatches, you'll get your key. [ The egg is translucent and purple, but there's a shiny golden thing in the centre. ]

It just needs some loving!

...Ah, aside from that, I believe Ed from Tiamat will want to talk to you in a bit. He thinks he might be able to find a clue about the nature of echoes from examining your staff, which could help everyone out in a lot of ways.

Still, it's your decision whether to let him look at it or not. Don't let me influence your decision too much.

I don't have my staff. I gave it to Armin as a sign of trust.

[ she shrugs. It was the only thing she arrived with, and yes she does think about it often but. It should be safe, right? She wouldn't have given it to him if she didn't think it safe. ]

I could ask for it back, if it's urgent.

Also... how do you feel about my place being kind of... a safe space for cats? And you, if you want, too. I know Candy was one of them, and that she... she would want to protect them. I just- have a feeling that the tower isn't a safe place for them because of the whole Brainwashed Queen thing.

I think that's fine, though I can't really say they'll be entirely safe. Their mirrors would still be under Nyssa's control, after all. We would probably have to move their mirrors over to here, and... I don't think they'll be able to leave your realm if we do that?

Still, letting the Cats know that there's an echo they can count on no matter what is a good idea. I'll let them know.

No, moving mirrors is too dangerous. And the dorms are technically their patron's, since they didn't change at all from the inside. I assume, anyway.
